I applied for a Division I head coaching job in the Mid-Atlantic the other day, as well as for a combined men's and women's head coaching position at an NAIA
No major developments on the job front in the last week. Just more jobs I didn't get and new ones applied to in the last few days.
After last week's update I had a lengthy internal debate about whether to apply for a head coach job I'd seen posted. It's in Division III and back home so
A couple of positions that have opened up recently seem to present real potential. I've had to scratch several off the list, but added more in their place.
A week away in Germany kept me relatively inactive in the job hunt process, but things continued to develop in the coaching world.
Things have definitely started picking up in terms of hiring and new positions being posted. Still no meaningful developments for me, though.
In which I take to task human resources at the University of Minnesota for telling me someone else has been hired more than a week after it's been announced.
A wrinkle in my PhD funding has me rethinking my job-hunt time line. Not a lot to report otherwise. Relatively speaking, it's been a quiet week.
I've decided to do a journal of my volleyball coaching job search activities on the chance that it could be of use and/or interest to my fellow coaches.
