This is an entry in my volleyball coaching log for 2016-17. This, the fourth week of our non-traditional season, was a short one as Thursday and Friday were school Easter Break
The third week of Spring training saw us have our first completely week with no tournaments or community service work to alter it. Two weeks left.
This week I ran a session of team training and we played in our one and only Spring tournament as we hosted five other teams
We got back from Spring Break and went right to work with a mixture of indoor and sand training. We also had some further roster changes.
We just wrapped up the first half of the Spring semester. It's break time for the staff and players before going more full time when we get back.
It may have been a quiet end to 2016, but now that 2017 is underway the workload has been considerable between recruiting and planning.
Player meetings are done. Time to take a look at the season overall and to start looking ahead to where the team needs to go moving forward.
I recently read a post I wrote nearly 2 years ago about my job search intentions and efforts at the time. It's interesting to see how things went since.
