Being available for your players

Proactive Coaching shared a short, but meaningful John Wooden story. There’s a bit of set up, but here’s the core part:

“…every day at 3:00 I go sit in the stands at Pauley and allow my players to come talk to me about anything that is on their minds”.

“How many come?” the producer asked.

“That doesn’t matter,” Wooden replied. “The important thing is that they know I’m there, in case they want to talk to me.”

Just a bit more wisdom from the great coach. You can find more in these posts.
