A failure recovery system

Below is a video clip from a seminar by a college coach. In it she talks about needing to train failure recovery, and the method she teaches. Here are the steps she outlines.

  1. Make eye contact with another player
  2. Take ownership
  3. Talk about the next play
  4. “Yes, and” from teammate

Notice how connection with a teammate is involved in this approach. I think that’s really important, as it keeps a player from closing in on themselves.
