This morning I signed my first contract to coach a professional volleyball team. Definitely a whole new chapter in my coaching life!
At last the six month quest for a volleyball coaching job has ended!
Being able to effectively integrate players from different cultures into a unified team can be a key determining factor in a coach's success.
The focus this week was mainly on the European professional coaching job market, though there were a couple of US-related developments.
Do you consider yourself to be a coach with more of a season-to-season focus, or one who likes to take a longer-term view on things?
The only real development of note from the past week is that I made the short list for a head coach position in Europe.
It's been a reasonably active last week on the job front, though as yet still with nothing to show for it but some additions to the stack of rejections.
