Job Listings

This page will maintain a listing of websites and other resources which can be used to find positions coaching volleyball. Some of them may be of limited use for one looking to stay in England, but at least do provide an idea of what’s out there and the type of duties are attached and qualifications required. Please let us know if we’ve missed any worthwhile ones.

Volleyball England – Both administrative and collegiate coach listings. VE also posts open positions via its Twitter feed.

NCAA Market – US 4-year collegiate volleyball positions (some listings are administrative)

NAIA Careers – The NAIA is an alternative system to the NCAA, though much smaller. This site is not volleyball specific.

NJCAA Careers – US 2-year collegiate positions

Indeed – Combined listing of US collegiate and high school volleyball positions

AVCA – Collegiate, club, high school, and camp positions in the US (the AVCA has a whole career section). There is a lot of overlap with the NCAA site, though, and the non-collegiate job listings are very limited. Membership is required for access.

Higher Ed Jobs – Jobs coaching volleyball in US colleges and universities.

Ontario Volleyball Association – Job coaching at various levels in Canada.

French Federation Trainers Exchange – A listing of clubs – French and Swiss – looking for coaches. Naturally, it’s all in French.

The volleyball coaching world has lost a great thinker and educator in Jim Stone. His mind and willingness to engage will be missed.

Hating to lose = competitive?

It's said that true competitors hate losing. But can we really call that a true hallmark of a competitor when it's a general human bias?
