Until last weekend I only attended Juniors national qualifier tournaments as a college coach. I was there to see lots of players all in one place. I spent long hours in those convention centers. You could no doubt measure the distance I covered moving from court to court in miles. They made for long days, sore feet, and stiff backs.

Last weekend, though, I was at a qualifier on the club side of things. The Charleston Academy team (15s) played in the Orlando event. It was amazing to only be in the gym for one wave per day!

I’m trying to enjoy this all now. In the future, as the club grows, no doubt I will have to cover both waves while watching our multiple teams.
